Indicators:

  • : (2, 6, 3, 2)

  • : (13, 0, 34, 2, 0, 7, 0); parameters can be adjusted for higher asset volatility.

Key conditions:

The entry timeframe is H1, while the control timeframe is H4. This is a long-term strategy. The Stop Loss is set at the level of average daily volatility. A trade remains open while the green and red TDI lines are above (for BUY) or below (for SELL) the yellow TDI line. Skip signals if the HAS has already shown more than two consecutive candles of the same color.

BUY conditions (all conditions must be met):

  • A new blue HAS candle appears.

  • The green TDI line crosses the red line from below to above.

  • The yellow TDI line is moving upward.

  • Enter a BUY trade immediately after the crossover or at the next bar.

SELL conditions (all conditions must be met):

  • A new red HAS candle appears.

  • The green TDI line crosses the red line from above to below.

  • The yellow TDI line is moving downward.

  • Enter a SELL trade immediately after the crossover or at the next bar.

Exit criteria:

Exit the trade when the Stop Loss or Take Profit is reached, or under one of the following conditions:

  • The green TDI line reverses direction and breaks through the yellow line.

  • A strong key level is approached.

  • More than 10 HAS candles of the same color appear.

Exercise:

Open a chart with H1 for entry and H4 for control. Apply the Heiken Ashi Smoothed indicator with settings (2, 6, 3, 2) and the TDI indicator with settings (13, 0, 34, 2, 0, 7, 0).

For a BUY trade, wait for a new blue HAS candle, with the green TDI line crossing the red line from below to above, and the yellow TDI line trending upward. Enter the trade immediately after the crossover or at the next bar. Set the Stop Loss at the average daily volatility level.

For a SELL trade, wait for a new red HAS candle, with the green TDI line crossing the red line from above to below, and the yellow TDI line trending downward. Enter the trade immediately after the crossover or at the next bar. Manage the trade by monitoring the TDI lines and the number of HAS candles. Exit the trade based on the specified criteria.
