This strategy is as good as it's named.

Indicators:

  • (21, close)

  • (70, close)

  • with standard settings

Key conditions

The analysis and trade management timeframe is H1. Stop Loss is set 30 to 50 points away from the opening price and trailed as the trade progresses. Take Profit is optional and can be determined by money management rules.

BUY conditions (all conditions must be met):

  • The closing price is above the EMA (70).

  • EMA (21) is positioned below EMA (70).

  • The AO histogram is green and trending upward.

SELL conditions (all conditions must be met):

  • The closing price is below the EMA (70).

  • EMA (21) is positioned above EMA (70).

  • The AO histogram is red and trending downward.

Exit criteria: Exit the trade when the Stop Loss is hit or when the AO histogram crosses the zero line. If the trade reaches a profit of 50 to 70 points, it is advisable to close part of the position.

Exercise:

Open a chart with an H1 timeframe. Apply the EMA indicator twice, using settings (21, close) and (70, close). Add the Awesome Oscillator with standard settings.

For a BUY trade, confirm that the closing price is above the EMA (70), EMA (21) is below EMA (70), and the AO histogram is green and trending upward. Enter the trade and set a Stop Loss 30 to 50 points below the opening price, trailing it as the trade progresses.

For a SELL trade, ensure the closing price is below the EMA (70), EMA (21) is above EMA (70), and the AO histogram is red and trending downward. Enter the trade and set a Stop Loss 30 to 50 points above the opening price, trailing it as necessary. Exit the trade based on the criteria or close part of the position after reaching 50 to 70 points in profit.
